Hi, I’m Erica and I’m so happy that you stumbled upon my little slice of the world. Brace yourself though, I’m not ordinary. From doing mission work with my husband + son in Central America to running non-profit and for-profit Public Relations, my life has been anything but cookie cutter.
To be honest, I’m not sure how I’ve landed in the rooms that I have, but I’m grateful. Born to a single, deaf mother in Louisiana, my upbringing was anything but a cake walk. I leaned heavily into my imagination and my unyielding belief that there was more.
My love for all things writing stemmed from editing and rewriting all those damned press releases and market copywriting. My knack for getting the details just right drove myself and my former colleagues crazy, but it always paid off.
Here’s the truth; I am not a wordsmith, not at all. I'm sort of a thought smith. Almost all of my projects and articles have come from an image or a stream of thought that I’ve had. It’s like a million light bulb moments going off all at once and with that gift I have been able to create experiences for men and women alike that left me proud of not only my work, but the impact that it has made even, if just for one person.
In my private life, I’m a wife, mother, sister and devoted friend. My family and I are a team in every sense of the word. My son is the ultimate wanderlust and is the most compassionate human I have ever met. My daughter, well she’s a Virgo. She’s direct and sure of herself. It’s refreshing to experience. Lastly, my best friend and life partner; I’ve never been more supported or championed by any other human like him.
